Jenna Fischer has become best recognized as Pam Beesly, the character she played on The Office. In the course of playing this role, Jenna received two SAG Awards in Outstanding Ensemble Comedy and an Emmy Award for the Best Supporting Actress. Her family was based in St. Louis Missouri. Jenna grew up watching her mother Anne who was a church performer. This instilled in her an interest in theater. Fischer was a stage actress trained in her native country. She starred in the Off-Broadway production Reasons to Be Happy that was directed and written by Neil LaBute and co-starring Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb, and Fred Weller. Her role was later reprised in the world premiere of Steve Martin's latest play Meteor Shower, an absurdist comedy with Greg Germann as well as Josh Stamberg, for a record-breaking show in the Old Globe Theatre.
